Francisco J. Cuza, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Francisco J. Cuza is originally from Puerto Rico. He is married to his wife Monica and has two sons Javier and Diego. He enjoys outdoor activities and sports. He also enjoys playing basketball and is an avid professional basketball fan. He attended Florida International University to pursue his major in biology. Subsequently, he attended Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences and received his doctorate in podiatric medicine.
After graduation Dr. Cuza participated in the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program from 2005 to 2007 during which he trained in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. He also attended the International Center for Limb Lengthening (ICLL) at Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics, were he trained in the principles of deformity correction and in techniques of the same, with a particular emphasis on foot and ankle deformity correction and treatment.
He is a member of the American and Texas Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Cuza is certified to administer Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment for foot and ankle wounds. He is also board qualified in foot and ankle surgery by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. His current staff privileges include; St. Luke’s Patient’s Medical Center, Bayshore Medical Center, Advanced Wound Care Clinic at Bayshore, East Houston Regional Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Southeast, Kindred Bay Area, Kindred East Houston and Kindred Clear Lake.
Dr. Francisco J. Cuza has patients ranging from young children to the elderly and speaks Spanish fluently. Common disorders he treats includes; ingrown toe nails, pediatric and adult flatfoot deformity, Hallux Valgus (Bunion) deformity, foot and ankle sprains, foot and ankle fractures, foot and ankle arthritis, soft tissue and bone tumors of the foot and ankle, and multiple skin conditions of the foot and ankle including but not limited to diabetic foot ulcers, warts, fungal infections and bacterial infections.
